The Campus’s Missions

The "Campus des Métiers et des Qualifications 3E" focuses on three core actions: training, informing, and innovating.
At the scale of the Grand Est region and with a strong focus on Franco-German collaboration, we pursue these goals through the following missions:

Promote careers and pathways in sustainable construction.

Unite and strengthen connections among the network’s various partners.

Establish a virtuous circle between students, educators, institutions, and companies in support of a shared mission: the ecological transition.

Energy Efficiency

A building’s energy efficiency relies on three key levers that must be activated simultaneously to maximize both economic and environmental benefits. These include improving the building envelope and insulation (passive energy efficiency), enhancing the performance of technical systems (active energy efficiency), and educating users on best practices.

Healthy Building

A “healthy building” is much more than just a place to live or work. It addresses a range of essential challenges:
Occupant health: It promotes well-being by ensuring good indoor air quality and reducing health risks associated with poor ventilation.
Sustainability: It is designed to be energy-efficient, minimizing its environmental impact and contributing to the fight against climate change.
Safety: It is built to withstand natural disasters, ensuring the safety of its occupants when needed.
Community well-being: It fosters spaces that encourage social interaction and enhance overall quality of life.
A healthy building meets all of these challenges, improving the lives of its occupants while protecting the planet for future generations.

Eco-Construction and Eco-Renovation

Eco-construction and eco-renovation are building and renovation approaches focused on sustainability.
Eco-construction involves creating new buildings using environmentally friendly materials and energy-efficient technologies.
Eco-renovation focuses on the ecological upgrading of existing buildings by improving energy efficiency through insulation, system replacements, and the use of recycled materials. These approaches help reduce carbon footprints, conserve energy, and create more sustainable living spaces.

Renewable Energy

Renewable energy sources, such as the sun, wind, and water, are inexhaustible and environmentally friendly. They are gradually replacing fossil fuels, helping to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, create jobs, and ensure a more sustainable energy future.

Coordination and quality of the construction

Constructing a healthy and sustainable building requires teamwork among all project stakeholders. Effective coordination between key players, such as architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors, ensures that the project progresses smoothly and according to plan. This collaborative approach helps prevent delays and additional costs.
Construction quality is equally essential. It involves the use of high-quality materials, adherence to safety and sustainability standards, and the implementation of appropriate inspections and testing at each stage of the project. High-quality construction ensures the safety of occupants and the long-term durability of the building.
